Chartiers Center Receives First Ever Top-Rated Nonprofit Designation

Nov 15, 2021

we did it image2021-top-rated-awards-badge-hi-resAt Chartiers Center, our vision is centered around providing the highest possible level of care and excellence in the delivery of all the supports we offer. This people-centered approach starts with our professional staff, all of which are dedicated to creating an environment where our clients can thrive.
“This title is another representation of how our staff approaches everyday with professionalism and passion for the people we support,” said Sue Coyle, CEO of Chartiers Center. “Without their work every single day and throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, this would not be possible.”
The title of Top-Rated Nonprofit is only achievable by recording a certain number of reviews on the Great Nonprofits website. These fantastic entries were submitted by staff, people Chartiers Center supports, as well as volunteers and donors that support the organization.
“Chartiers Center is a great example of a nonprofit making a real difference in their community,” said Perla Ni, CEO of Great Nonprofits, “Their award is well-deserved recognition not only of their work, but the tremendous support they receive, as shown by the many outstanding reviews they have received from people who have direct experience working with Chartiers Center.”
In a joint letter to staff, Chartiers Center’s Board of Directors reiterated both Sue and Perla’s comments, saying, “This is truly an honor and depicts what a great place Chartiers Center is to work and a statement as to the dedication and hard work of our staff and team.”
As a result of this new title, Chartiers Center will now be promoted through the Great Nonprofits channels and website – a huge boost for the organization! Inclusion on the Top-Rated list will help continue to build on the trust and recognition of the community and ensures that Chartiers Center can continue to provide life-long, high quality support services to all.

What Is Mobile Psychiatric Rehabilitation?

Psychiatric Rehabilitation Services are founded on the firm belief that people can and do recover from mental illness, including the most severe and persistent diagnoses. Psych Rehab providers define recovery not by a lack of symptoms, but by the presence of meaning and purpose in one’s life. Participants in Chartiers Center’s Mobile Psych Rehab (MPR) program choose the recovery goals they want to work on and then meet regularly with their MPR staff to learn, enhance, and practice the skills they need to reach those goals.

For many Veterans, the battle doesn’t end when they return home. The experiences of deployment, combat exposure, loss, and the transition back to civilian life can take a profound toll on mental well-being. While every Veteran’s story is unique, the mental-health challenges they face often share common threads: post-traumatic stress, depression, anxiety, substance use, and a lingering sense of isolation. The good news is that effective, compassionate treatment options exist—and awareness and accessibility have grown dramatically over the past decade.
