Mar 1, 2021

green light imageLiving a healthful life includes living in an environment where you can go outside, breath freely, easily, enjoy our beautiful world and be nourished by healthy and clean foods.
At Chartiers Center we are providers of healthcare and citizens of the world.  We are committed to do our part to make the world healthier and our resources more sustainable.
Where we can, we will

  1. Decrease our reliance on paper products and space to store it.
  2. Recycle where we can and where it’s not available, work to make it happen
  3. Use recycled goods and material where we can.
  4. Buy durable, longwearing products.
  5. Use “green” and non-toxic products; such as cleaning solutions, paint.
  6. Monitor our water use so we are not wasteful.
  7. Prefer to purchase company vehicles that are the most energy efficient.
  8. Maintain our vehicles so they do not waste energy.
  9. Encourage our mobile teams to geo-plan their fieldwork to streamline travel.
  10. Encourage video conferencing where it is appropriate and possible.
  11. Purchase equipment that is ‘Energy Star’ rated.
  12. Begin a process to install occupancy sensors in low use areas around the agency.
  13. Turn off equipment when not in use.
  14. Assess the efficiency of our HVAC systems.

What Is Mobile Psychiatric Rehabilitation?

What Is Mobile Psychiatric Rehabilitation?

Psychiatric Rehabilitation Services are founded on the firm belief that people can and do recover from mental illness, including the most severe and persistent diagnoses. Psych Rehab providers define recovery not by a lack of symptoms, but by the presence of meaning and purpose in one’s life. Participants in Chartiers Center’s Mobile Psych Rehab (MPR) program choose the recovery goals they want to work on and then meet regularly with their MPR staff to learn, enhance, and practice the skills they need to reach those goals.

Healing Invisible Wounds

Healing Invisible Wounds

For many Veterans, the battle doesn’t end when they return home. The experiences of deployment, combat exposure, loss, and the transition back to civilian life can take a profound toll on mental well-being. While every Veteran’s story is unique, the mental-health challenges they face often share common threads: post-traumatic stress, depression, anxiety, substance use, and a lingering sense of isolation. The good news is that effective, compassionate treatment options exist—and awareness and accessibility have grown dramatically over the past decade.
