blue heartTHANK YOU! We are grateful for all the support we received on Giving Tuesday. On Tuesday, May 5th Chartiers Center is joining other nonprofits worldwide to celebrate #GivingTuesdayNow. A specific day created to support the individuals and families faced with daily struggles.
Join us to help people struggling with their mental wellness who may also find themselves homeless and in need of food. Your gift today can impact the lives of Chartiers Center’s consumers. Visit our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/ChartiersCenter/ to learn more.
This pandemic has changed how Chartiers Center delivers services to our clients.  Therapists are now providing tele-health services to support our consumers who are dealing with anxiety and isolation. Our Substance Abuse Outpatient therapists are on hand to support consumers struggling with addiction issues and they run groups through video conferencing. Chartiers Center’s staff have been working daily to support the consumers in our 3 residential programs who are struggling with their mental health and working on their wellness goals.
Our case managers and housing outreach teams continue to work in the community to connect many of our homeless consumers, and those at risk of losing their homes, with resources of food and shelter. Chartiers Center remains open to referrals where our Intake Specialist is waiting for your call 412 221-3302.
Our staff are ESSENTIAL. They work our front line to provide accessible mental health treatment services and support, especially now when people are feeling anxious and isolated.
Today we ask you to support our mission of transforming lives. With a gift you can provide an air mattress for the homeless working on housing so they have a bed to sleep on. Your gift can feed a family faced with food insecurity. Today you can make a difference in the lives of consumers who face barriers to treatment for their mental illness, or your gift can connect the homeless to resources for food and shelter.
If now is not the time to donate money we invite you to follow our story at Chartiers Center’s website or visit our Facebook page and leave a message of hope for our staff and consumers.
Every act of generosity counts! Our staff will continue working daily to keep our consumers safe through this crisis and beyond. We extend our thanks for your support and words of encouragement. We are in this together and together we will make a difference.

What Is Mobile Psychiatric Rehabilitation?

What Is Mobile Psychiatric Rehabilitation?

Psychiatric Rehabilitation Services are founded on the firm belief that people can and do recover from mental illness, including the most severe and persistent diagnoses. Psych Rehab providers define recovery not by a lack of symptoms, but by the presence of meaning and purpose in one’s life. Participants in Chartiers Center’s Mobile Psych Rehab (MPR) program choose the recovery goals they want to work on and then meet regularly with their MPR staff to learn, enhance, and practice the skills they need to reach those goals.

Healing Invisible Wounds

For many Veterans, the battle doesn’t end when they return home. The experiences of deployment, combat exposure, loss, and the transition back to civilian life can take a profound toll on mental well-being. While every Veteran’s story is unique, the mental-health challenges they face often share common threads: post-traumatic stress, depression, anxiety, substance use, and a lingering sense of isolation. The good news is that effective, compassionate treatment options exist—and awareness and accessibility have grown dramatically over the past decade.
